Get started

Create or open a project and follow the basic workflow.

A project saves the library, cuts, angles, queue and export settings in a .vrcon file. Source videos stay where they are: the project only refers to them.

Create a project

  1. Choose File > New Project, or drag videos onto the start screen.
  2. Import the videos you need. See Import video.
  3. Choose File > Save Project to keep the timeline and settings.

A project is created from the start screen only when at least one dropped file can be imported. If nothing can be used, a report explains why and the start screen stays open.

Open a project

  1. Choose File > Open Project..., or drag a .vrcon file into the window.
  2. If a source video has moved, click Relink… and choose its new location, or remove it from the queue.

Recommended workflow

  1. Import one or more videos and check the detected format in the Inspector.
  2. Open a video in Preview and check the source, 3D layout and orientation.
  3. Add the video to the queue and set In and Out.
  4. Choose a delivery preset or the output format, codec and resolution.
  5. Read the preflight, export a 10-second test, then export the queue.
